Better in Boots

I already did a rather snarky review of a very similar Miu Miu knee-high version of this boot, finding it simply over the top and rather useless for anything but standing on a platform somewhere, in all its sparkly, impractical glory.  A work of art, yes, but something to wear, no. HOWEVER, this Sergio Rossi  ankle boot is something else.  I’m surprised to see an almost identical fishnet design which is eather a huge coincidence or a matter of one designer definitely influencing the other. This ankle boot version would be a beautiful, delicate alternative to shoes for a fancy evening event. They don’t come cheap, but then so is anything covered in Swarovski crystals. Oooh, just when I thought I wouldn’t see a classy metallic.Leave it to Louboutin. The layer after layer of  draped Italian leather, shined to a silver mirror-like finish make me want to stare into them for hours. OK I’m a bit sick and that’s why I have this boots blog.  Picture yourself in a shorter skirt or dress rocking these mirrored kicks at all your holiday parties–I can’t think of a better way to ring in 2011.  And if you believe the ancient Mayans and Roland Emmerich, director of the new movie 2012, we only have about a year left to live anyway.
